TMJ & Sleep

For A Restful Night’s Sleep!

We all snore from time to time, and often this is no more serious than perhaps keeping your partner awake.
However, some people suffer from a condition know as Obstructed Sleep Apnea (OSA). It’s a condition where a person not only snores very noisily, but also stops breathing during sleep.
Sleep apnea occurs when muscles and soft tissues around the airway relax and collapse during sleep, blocking the airway. This increases snoring levels and tiredness from poor sleep and can contribute to increased risks of diabetes, stroke, heart attack and high blood pressure.
There are treatments available for this condition, and for mild to moderate cases we can create a custom made dental appliance that is both comfortable and been proven effective.
